The Place
A Land Marked by Prayer
Ember Ridge will stand within a wider spiritual story — one shaped by the Moravian witness, the history of Prayer Mountain, and generations of people who gave themselves to God.
Herrnhut to North Carolina
A historic pattern that resonates with this calling
In 1727, the community at Herrnhut entered a season of spiritual renewal and established a continual prayer watch that endured for more than one hundred years. Their worship and intercession helped fuel one of the most influential missionary movements in modern Church history. When Moravians later established communities in North Carolina, they carried a disciplined life of prayer, work, worship, stewardship, education, and mission into the region.
Moravian Falls and Prayer Mountain have since become gathering places for believers drawn to prayer, prophetic ministry, healing, and encounter with God. Many have testified to an unusual clarity in prayer on the mountain.

A Wider Testimony
When people make room for God over time, a culture can form
The testimony associated with Frances Metcalfe, the Golden Candlestick fellowship, and the women remembered as the Ladies of Gold offers another meaningful point of reference. Their story centers on extended worship, intercession, consecration, spiritual discernment, and dependence upon the Holy Spirit. They gathered faithfully over many years until the presence of God became the defining reality of their fellowship.
Ember Ridge does not seek to reproduce their ministry, but it recognizes a shared principle: when people make room for God over time, a culture can form in which prayer, obedience, supernatural faith, and practical provision become woven together.
A 1997 prophetic word concerning Prayer Mountain also emphasized praise, prayer, intercession, truth, healing, restored relationships, and the need to hear and obey God. Firebrand views that word as one strand within the spiritual testimony of the area — to be weighed alongside Scripture, mature counsel, the fruit of prior stewardship, and the confirmations the family has received over many years.
Stewardship of the Land
Received as a baton handed forward
The current lodge has already been used by ministry leaders who welcomed people from around the world. Ember Ridge will honor that history rather than erase it.
If the property is entrusted to Firebrand Revivalists, the transition will be received as a baton handed forward. What has been built in prior seasons will be respected, while the property is renewed for the particular assignment now being formed: a house that ministers to the Lord, receives leaders and families, reforms unhealthy patterns, restores strength, and sends people back into the work of the Kingdom.
Needs review: The lodge property has not yet been acquired. All references to the property describe a vision under discernment and due diligence, not a completed purchase. Confirm the current status of negotiations before publishing, and avoid naming the seller or exact address until closing.
Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.
