A House of Prayer
Before Ember Ridge ministers to people, it ministers to God — through worship, intercession, consecration, and attentive obedience.
A Ministry of Firebrand Revivalists · Moravian Falls, North Carolina
Some fires blaze for a moment and disappear. Others are carefully tended, generation after generation, until they illuminate nations.
Ember Ridge is a house that ministers first to the Lord, restores those who carry great responsibility, and sends them back strengthened for the work of the Kingdom.
The Assignment
“Ember Ridge exists to tend the fire God has entrusted to His people.”
God restores people in His presence so they can return faithfully to the assignments He has entrusted to them.
The Founding Vision
Across churches, ministries, schools, businesses, communities, and public life, faithful people are carrying burdens few others ever see. Pastors shepherd while navigating cultural pressure and private warfare. Missionaries pour themselves out far from familiar support. Intercessors stand in the gap for others, often without anyone recognizing the cost of that hidden service. Many continue serving long after joy has been replaced by survival.
Too often, the Church celebrates those who pour themselves out without creating places where they can be poured back into. Ember Ridge is an answer to that need — not a conference venue built around constant programming, nor a retreat center measured by volume, but a home devoted first to the Lord.
An ember can appear small, buried, or nearly spent, yet it still holds living fire. When protected, nourished, and given breath, it can burn brightly again. Leaders may arrive tired, disappointed, or uncertain without having lost the calling God placed within them.
The Order of Ministry
I
Before Ember Ridge ministers to people, it ministers to God — through worship, intercession, consecration, and attentive obedience.
II
Leaders are received without performance, told the truth in love, and given room for the Holy Spirit to work at a depth scheduled gatherings rarely allow.
III
An Acts 2 rhythm of Scripture, fellowship, shared meals, prayer, and daily faithfulness — because some healing occurs only through proximity.
IV
What God restores here is not meant to remain on the mountain. People return to their homes, churches, and assignments carrying renewed fire.
The Place
Ember Ridge will stand within a wider spiritual story — one shaped by the Moravian witness, the history of Prayer Mountain, and generations of people who gave themselves to God.
In 1727 the community at Herrnhut established a continual prayer watch that endured for more than a hundred years and helped fuel one of the most influential missionary movements in Church history. When Moravians later settled in North Carolina, they carried that disciplined life of prayer, work, worship, and stewardship into the region.
The Campus Vision
Every renovation, building, and outdoor space is evaluated by one question: does it help people minister to the Lord, live in healthy community, and be restored for faithful service?
Leadership & Stewardship
Faith and financial responsibility are not opposing values. The spiritual nature of this assignment will never be used to avoid practical accountability.
The Invitation
Ember Ridge is not an invitation to admire a property. It is an invitation to help establish a place where the presence of God, healthy family, sustained intercession, and faithful stewardship can strengthen generations.
